LETTER TO DAVIS FEBRUARY 20, 2001
Dear Governor Davis:
It has come to our attention that you made an environmental address to the Planning and Conservation League Foundation in March of 1998 when you were campaigning for Governor in which you promised to ensure that "wetlands are preserved, rivers are clean, and all old-growth trees are spared from the lumberjack's ax."
We implore you to take whatever action is necessary to keep your campaign promise and immediately end all old-growth logging in California as you pledged.
Sincerely,
